Who is using Claude, and what does it cost?

Claude Enterprise puts chat, Claude Code and Cowork in front of a lot of people at once. The bill grows with usage, and it's hard to tell which teams drive it.

How it works

You give RootSpend an Analytics API key from claude.ai. Every day it reads one cost line per person, product and model, plus one line for the API key and automation traffic that no single person caused. People land in their teams, so team totals work from day one.

Claude Enterprise usage questions

An Analytics API key, created by the organization's primary owner in claude.ai under Organization settings, then API. It's not the same as a Console Admin key, and the two can't be swapped.

No. The Claude API connector reads the Anthropic Console. This one reads claude.ai Enterprise usage. If your company uses both, connect both, but don't connect the same spend twice.

No. The Analytics API reports cost and usage numbers only. Conversations stay in claude.ai.
