Who these terms are with

These terms are an agreement between you and RootSpend. If you use RootSpend for a company, you agree to them on that company's behalf, and you confirm you are allowed to do so.

Where RootSpend is today

RootSpend isn't open to everyone yet. Joining the waitlist or booking a demo doesn't create a subscription and costs nothing. We will open access in stages, and we can't promise a date or a place in line.

Your account

Keep your login details safe, and tell us right away if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the people you invite into your organization.

Connecting your tools

When you connect a tool, you give RootSpend a key or other access so it can read billing and usage data. Only connect tools you are allowed to connect, and only give access you are allowed to give. RootSpend only reads. It never creates, changes or deletes anything in your tools, and you can disconnect a tool at any time.

Your data

Your data stays yours. You let us store and process it only to run RootSpend for you, as described in our privacy policy. We don't sell it. Owners can export their organization's data at any time or delete it.

What the numbers are, and aren't

RootSpend shows the cost data your vendors report, split in the ways it describes. Vendors sometimes report late or revise their numbers, and RootSpend picks up those changes. Your vendor's invoice is always the final word on what you owe them. Recommendations are suggestions: you decide whether to act on them, and RootSpend never makes the change for you.

Fair use

Please don't:

• break the law, or anyone else's rights, through RootSpend
• try to get into data or accounts that aren't yours
• overload, attack or reverse engineer the service
• resell RootSpend, or copy it to build a competing product

Plans and billing

Our plans and prices are on the pricing page. Starter and Team will start with a 14 day free trial that needs no card. After that, paid plans renew every month or every year, depending on what you chose, until you cancel. Prices don't include taxes, which are added where the law requires.

If you get close to your plan's tracked spend limit, we will tell you before anything changes. We will give you at least 30 days notice before any price change affects you. Enterprise plans follow the contract we sign with you.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again. Refunds are covered in our refund policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Unless it's urgent or the law stops us, we will warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Our product

RootSpend, its design and its code belong to us. You get the right to use it while your account is active. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without owing you anything.

Availability

We work hard to keep RootSpend running, but we don't promise it will never be down or never have a bug. We may change or improve features over time. If we remove something important you pay for, we will tell you first.

Liability

RootSpend is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we will update the date at the top. If a change matters, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you keep using RootSpend after that, the new terms apply.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Tunisia. If we disagree about something, let's talk first. If we can't sort it out, the courts of Tunisia will decide.
