Your tools, your data, your call
You are handing us access to your bills. Here is exactly what that access can and cannot do.
It only reads
RootSpend never creates, changes or deletes anything in your tools. Wherever a vendor offers read only access, that is all we ask for.
Billing data only
We read costs and usage numbers. Your tables, files, prompts and responses never leave your accounts.
Keys stay locked up
Every key is encrypted before it is stored, and only decrypted for the moment a sync needs it. After you save it, nobody sees it again, us included, and it never shows up in a log.
Your data is walled off
Each company’s data is kept apart twice: by the app, and again by the database itself, which refuses to return another company’s rows.
AI on your terms
The AI analyst sees spend totals, never people, raw bills or your data. It only suggests, RootSpend checks every number, and an admin can switch it off or use your own key.
People costs are opt in
Costs per person stay off until an owner turns them on, and even then only roles allowed to see people can view them.
You decide who sees what
Roles control who can view costs, manage budgets or connect tools.
Every change is logged
Who connected a tool, edited a budget or changed the AI settings, and when. It is all in the audit log.
Take it with you, or delete it
Owners can export all of their organization’s data at any time, or delete it for good.
